# Context

> Understand your production stack, explore what changed, and ask Annie from the tools you use.

Your production context connects resources, dependencies and recorded changes from the sources in your Anyshift project. Use it to understand what is running, how it is connected and what happened before a change or incident.

## Explore your production context

> **[Explore & Ask](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/annie_knowledge.md)**
>
> Ask about resources, dependencies and access across your stack.

> **[Change History](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/time_travel.md)**
>
> Review recorded changes and compare resource states over time.

> **[Reports](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/reports.md)**
>
> Save useful views of your infrastructure and run them again.

> **[Connect sources](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/onboarding/overview_integrations.md)**
>
> Add the cloud, code, Kubernetes and observability context you need.

## Ask from your usual tools

Start a conversation in the [Anyshift app](https://app.anyshift.io/), ask in [Slack](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/integration/slack.md), or connect [Annie Remote MCP](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/integration/remote_mcp.md) to your AI coding assistant. These are ways to access Annie and your project's context.

For example:

* “Which services depend on this database?”
* “What changed in production before the errors started?”
* “Show me the previous configuration of this security group.”

Answers depend on the connected sources and the history recorded for your project. See [Change History](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/time_travel.md) for retention and point-in-time queries.

## Run an investigation or automated checks

Use [Agents](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/agents.md) for Root Cause Analysis, PR Blast Reviewer, Deploy Watcher and Proactive. They use the same production context to investigate incidents, check deployments or find risks on a schedule.

For direct graph queries from code, scripts or AI agents, see [Graph API](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/graph-api/overview.md), including [Graph MCP](https://docs.anyshift.io/pages/product/integration/graph_mcp.md).
